Quercus & Co. pattern designer Adam Jones studied Textile Art in London during the mid 1980s when the pursuit of conceptualism was at a height.
The creative process, studies, preparatory drawings and even notes themselves were often regarded as the subject of the art piece itself.
Studies can often be more interesting than the finished planned work, due to the fresh insights gained while exploring the idea. The excitement of discovery can give a study vitality.
New prints will be added to the collection progressively and will include studies for current wallpaper and fabric patterns as well as experimental and previously un-released works from the archive.
Printed in our Sydney studio using water-based archival pigment inks and cold press textured 100% cotton rag, 320gsm art paper, the quality of our studio collection is the very best.
Each print is finished with a deckled (torn) edge, giving the option of float-framing the print to make the most of the beautiful paper or of hiding the torn edges with a mat or full-bleed to the frame.
To make framing easier the studies are printed to fit within the A-Series of standard sizing, however on request we can print a custom size to match a specific frame you may already have in mind.
Every giclee reproduction is signed, dated and stamped on the reverse.
